Canadian National (CN) Tower

Bapak Footnote Nasional dan Pak Cikro

Sewaktu masih punya banyak waktu luang untuk jalan-jalan, saya paling senang nonton. Yang saya tonton bukan sembarang tontonan. Melainkan demonstrasi. Melihat bagaimana ruang terbuka --seperti jalan raya, air mancur di tengah kota, halaman depan kampus, halaman gedung DPR/DPRD maupun kantor gubernur, bahkan jembatan Ampera— termanfaat dengan baik. Ruang terbuka bukan hanya menjadi tempat meluangkan waktu di sela kepenatan roda rutinitas. Tapi menjadi tempat bagaimana suara publik digemakan.   

 

Saya selalu menikmati apa yang disampaikan sang orator yang biasanya mengepalkan tangan kiri meninju langit. Di lengan kanannya corong pengeras suara menyeru kawan, menantang lawan.  Di tengah pertigaan depan pasar Cinde – dimana terdapat monumen kecil berupa sebuah tank tua— Suatu kali saya terpukau oleh seorang orator pada satu aksi mahasiswa Palembang. Hampir setiap kalimatnya disertai kutipan dari ucapan tokoh-tokoh terkenal. Misalnya,” Berkali-kali Lenin mengatakan, menunggu adalah dosa terbesar REVOLUSI!”  

 

Setelah itu dia mengutip Tan Malaka, mengutip Che Guevara, mengutip Marx, mengutip Sigmun Freud, mengutip Sukarno, dan lain-lain. Bahkan kata-kata penyair pun ia kutip, misalnya Chairil Anwar, Rendra, dan Pramudya Ananta Toer. Orasinya mirip opini di koran. Kaya betul dengan daftar pustaka. Dibanjiri catatan kaki atau footnote. Setelah puas saya meninggalkan rombongan demonstran itu dengan satu kesan khusus tentang sang orator. Ia adalah “Bapak Footnote Nasional”. Saya kagum. Karena saya belum pernah bisa berorasi.  

 

Pada kesempatan lain, saya menonton aksi demontrasi para petani yang rata-rata sudah berusia lanjut. Kalau tidak salah mereka beraksi di bawah nama Masyarakat Adat Sumsel. Pada gilirannya, seorang orator bernama pak Cikro... Ia adalah petani dari desa Mangkunegara, Kecamatan Penukal Abab, Muara Enim, yang lahannya direbut oleh Hutan Tanaman Industri PT. Musi Hutan Persada milik Prayogo Pangestu.  

 

Dengan kacamata tebalnya – kaca sebelah kiri sudah retak—ia berteriak sekuat yang ia bisa. Corong pengeras suara di tangannya bergetar. Orasi Pak Cikro di depan anggota DPRD Sumatera Selatan saat itu amat singkat. “Kusematkan bintang di dadamu! Mana tanah?!” Todongnya.  

 

Orasi itu membuat saya sabagai penonton, puas. Orasi pak Cikro memang tidak dibumbui dengan satu kutipan sekalipun. Ia tidak menyebutkan kata revolusi, kapitalis, atau jargon lainnya. Ia langsung menohok pada inti perjuangan. Mana (saya baca: kembalikan) tanah (kami)!  Tepat, sederhana dan orisinal!* * *
